Each year, the Mortgage Strategy Awards recognise the best service, innovation, and standards in the mortgage sector. Widely recognised as the “Oscars” of the UK mortgage industry, they are seen as the pinnacle of success for those working in the sector.
This year, we’re proud to announce that Altura has been shortlisted in three leading categories at the 2023 awards. Read on to find out more, and how these nominations recognise the superb service we offer as well as how we are supporting diversity and digital innovation in the mortgage sector.
Altura shortlisted for 3 awards at the “Oscars” of the industry
Each year, dozens of lenders, brokers, providers, and other mortgage businesses vie for 28 prestigious Mortgage Strategy awards.
In each category, several rounds of shortlisting take place before a selection of expert judges assess each entry to decide on a winner.
As a recognition of all the hard work and effort made by the industry over the past 12 months, as well as highlighting superb service, the rigorous judging process associated with the awards ensures that winning one of the 28 categories really is a mark of excellence.
In the eight “broker” categories we were eligible for in 2023, we’re thrilled to announce that Altura has been shortlisted in three of them.
Best Mortgage Broker (fewer than eight advisers)
This award recognises the best small broker firm in the UK with fewer than eight mortgage advisers.
It awards the firm that has stood out by improving advice, navigating market change, and delivering the best customer service during 2022.
Best Broker for Digital Innovation
Sponsored by Halifax, this award recognises broker firms that are setting the standard in either integrating technology into their everyday business, developing that technology, or both.
The judges also take into account use of social media and other online initiatives taken by the shortlisted firms.
Diversity and Inclusion Broker Champion
A new category in 2023, this award focuses on firms that have worked on improving diversity and inclusion within their own firm and in the industry.
Sponsored by Barclays, it aims to shine a light on the positive work brokers are doing to promote inclusion both internally and in the sector.

The winners of the 2023 Mortgage Strategy Awards will be announced at a special black tie ceremony on Thursday 25 May at the prestigious JW Marriott Grosvenor House in London.
