Work
Rob graduated from Exeter University with a degree in Economics and started his career in investment banking, working as an Equity Trader with for a Japanese bank Nomura from 1997.
He then moved to the retail side of finance, cutting his teeth in mortgage broking at a large Knightsbridge based firm from 2006, before co-founding a firm in the City in 2009. He then co-founded Altura in 2019.
Rob has worked with a variety of clients, from first-time buyers to home movers, through to international and self-employed borrowers.
Home
Rob lives in North London with his Belgian wife, two children and their dog. When not occupied with family life, Rob enjoys eating out, seeing friends and family and taking advantage of the amazing London theatre scene (combining all three is Rob’s perfect night out.) And while enjoyment is often hit and miss, Rob gets to Arsenal home matches as often as he can.
He also enjoys travel and has visited countries throughout Europe, Asia, Africa and North and South America in the last decade or so. He also lived in Australia after university for 18 months and visited New Zealand on his way back to the UK.
To keep fit, Rob does a mixture of spinning, circuit training and running. He’s a big fan of his Peloton, a lockdown purchase that still gets a lot of use!
