A growing and award-winning 2021: Altura’s review of the year

As we approach the end of another year, it’s been a busy and positive 12 months here at Altura. From starting the year with success at a major industry award ceremony to some key partnerships that will add value to our clients, we’ve enjoyed a successful 2021.

Major awards success

Later in the year we were also shortlisted for Best Small Broker at the 2021 Mortgage Strategy awards.

These prestigious awards recognise the skill and expertise Altura have when it comes to helping clients with all their mortgage needs.

A growing team

While we may have been nominated in the “Best Small Broker” category, we ended the year not quite as small as we began it!

Over 2021 we’ve grown the team to six advisers, adding expertise in specific niches. Our team now includes:

  • Mark Sharpe, a specialist finance adviser

  • Dusanthie Sathasivam, an experienced estate agent adviser

  • Darya Shaterloo, an overseas mortgage specialist.

Whatever your needs, we now have an expert who can help you to arrange the lending you require.

We’ve expanded our portfolio of lenders this year, by adding key banks such as HSBC and Bank of Ireland to our lender panel.

In addition to this, we also partnered with two exciting new firms – Thomas Finance Group and LOUPE Finance – as “appointed representatives (ARs)”.

As well as these guides, our regular newsletter shares all the latest news from the world of finance. Each month, readers receive an update straight to their inbox with useful news and views about mortgages and property.

Making life easier for clients

As well as adding new experts to the team, we’ve also invested in new technology over the last year to make life easier for our clients and advisers.

We rolled out the new, market-leading customer relationship management system Smartr365, incorporating Smartr Connect and SmartrFit and other technology new to the broker market.

Smartr offers a great platform for our clients and advisers alike and will keep Altura at the forefront of broker technology.

In addition to this, you may have seen the new intelligent chatbot feature on the website. This interactive feature allows clients to find answers to common mortgage questions, and to request a call back from one of our team.
